Ask Scarlette a Question   Submit Your Do's!   I'm Jessica. I'm a 21 year old stylist at an Aveda concept salon in Seattle, Washington. This is where I post my work, the work of others, submissions, tutorials and inspiring do's.

Want me to do your hair? I work at Kismet Salon and Spa in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle. Make appointments with me Tuesday through Saturday at 206.860.0323, and remember that I go by my real name, Jessica.

I still make house calls, so contact Jessica at jessica.hairitic@gmail.com for on site styling. Pricing is low, but based on a consultation.

I credit your photos, guaranteed. If I have not, the credit was not available, or just linked to some guys blog. And why would some guy deserve credit?

yesyouarepretty asked: hey there. i have darkish brown hair with natural blonde streaks on top. my hair goes to about the middle of my boob. I'm growing it out. But there is some leftover color from a while ago that's still on the ends. The color is starting to look a little off.. I really want to do the ombre look to cover this up and also I just like it. I'm in Central America right now.... I won't see my normal stylist for a few more months. Can I trust a rando to do color on my hair? Should I wait til i'm home?

Answer:

This is a tough one! Without knowing exactly where you are, I can’t refer you to a salon. I cosulted a fellow stylist who traveled around the area you’re in within the last year, and she advised that you’re not likely to find a stylist who really knows what you’re looking for.

If you are desperate however, maybe try bringing in some pictures and trying to see if they can figure it out? Also be willing to pay top dollar, there’s no going cheep on this where you’re at!

My main suggestion is to wait. Maybe try some at home remedies to help like dipping your ends in lemon juice and laying on the beach to lighten them up a bit to help you get through the next few months.

Good luck!
